Are Weak Myopia Glasses Harmful To My Eyes

Eye defects have been there since time immemorial. Thanks to the technology, people are finding solutions to the various eyes problems with the help of prescribed glasses or surgical operations. Doctors have recommended certain glasses depending on the type of eye fault.This acts as a corrective measure. For instance, shortsightedness (or myopia) defect can be corrected by wearing prescribed glasses to focus far off or with Lasic, a laser surgery which cures myopia for good.

It has been discovered that the prescribed glasses become weak over a period of time. Therefore, it’s advisable for one to go for lens replacement. Research shows that, few people have the initiative to go and change the lenses when they become weak.

Is it good for your eyes to wear weak prescribed glasses?

A lot of people have different views on this matter. Some say that they prefer not to change the lenses in order to help the eye naturally improve itself without complete help of glasses. Still, this is not convincing since some defects are permanent.

According to medical practitioners, some effects may follow if there is no change of lenses. Some of the effects are;

2. Discomfort: There is a feeling of discomfort as the brain tries to adjust to the new power lens.

3. Eye strain: In the case of people with myopia, the eye strain may be experienced as one tries to bring the blurred images clear.

From the above thought and discovery, weak lenses should be changed.
